 “The only way to protect your heart is to open it.” This week has been a tough one, loss of a friend and I’m feeling raw, vulnerable and cracked open. The Light is reaching places within me that have been in darkness for a long time. I am so grateful for this, smiling through the tears and fond memories. As I allow my heart to open more through this process I’m astonished how it hurts a bit less instead of more. The fear of being hurt is the thing that hurts the most.  In the face of a lot of loss this past week I am astonished that I can only feel gratitude. I am grateful for what I have and had, who I have known, all of my experiences, the laughter, the tears, the love, the loss and pain. All of it is precious and contained in my one lifetime. If you ever find yourself wondering how I feel about you, it is this - I love you. My close friends joke with me about my serious nature, but I am a deeply feeling person. I am always seeking to understand my nature and the nature of everything around me at the core levels. And this is for one purpose, to love more profoundly.
