6 Helpful Perspectives for 2021

With the dawning of this new year comes a renewed sense of hope. I've personally noticed and welcomed in a freshness and lightness.  While each day is a chance to start anew, there is something very special about the invigoration of the New Year. 

Some are celebrating that we made it through 2020. Others might see this year as merely a continuation of hardship and strife. While 2021 most certainly will not be free from these things as we have already seen, I invite you to keep in mind that there is a baseline level of challenging obstacles in our lives and on our personal path. When we come to these challenges humbly and looking through the lens of love and unity, they can helpful teachers, urging us to transform into something better and greater than who we were before. 

I welcome you to invite in new experiences, new opportunities for growth, and invite yourself to participate in life at a new level. I invite you to learn new things and be unafraid of connecting with others with an open heart and mind in the spirit of building bridges. 

We won't always agree. We won't always like what someone else says. Yet we always have the option to share authentically and possibly learn something that surprises and perhaps even delights us. 

The mission of the Modern Mystery School is that of world peace. At this time in human history with all of the problems and challenges facing us this might seem more impossible than ever before. 

However, I believe that world peace is a keystone foundational goal that is WORTHY of humanity. One of the greatest joys of our lives is the opportunity to experience different perspectives - which happens best when we feel safe and in a space of compassionate peace. We benefit when we try and do our best to create peace in our own lives and inspire others to do the same, no matter what is happening in the world around us.

Here are 6 helpful perspectives for the year ahead: 

• Investing in YOU is the best investment that you can make. - No matter where you go, there you are. When you are carrying around negative baggage, or you know there is something you could bring to the world but don't have the right tools or training - do it, get what you need, go there, invest. 
• As Within So Without. - This is known as the Hermetic maxim and it means that we live in a holographic universe. What you are thinking in your mind, you will manifest in your life. When you learn to control your mind through meditation and with other techniques and tools, you will be able to create what you want instead of what you don't want! What we bring into our lives begins in our minds. 
• Anger and Hatred is a call for Love - Instead of being afraid or angry when someone lashes out, know that they are crying out for love. When you are angry or feel hate, know that you are calling out for love. It is a basic human need. There is a serious lack of love in our modern world, especially now with Covid-19 separating us further and isolating so many. If we can remember this and respond with loving words and an understanding spirit, we will go far.
• Building bridges takes cooperation. - None of us can do life alone. We have the opportunity to rebuild bridges stronger and better, for communicating honestly and openly, and for seeing things with new eyes. This doesn't mean we have to work with everyone, but choosing those we know we can work with first and making a goal to expand our circle from there serves us. 
• Work when needed, Rest when needed. - To make changes, it will require periods of work and periods of rest. Balance is the key. 
• Stay the Course - The goals that you have, the desires you want to manifest, whatever you want to create - these take time. We are in a period of waiting. It is an opportune moment to look within and clear the ground of what no longer serves you, so you may plant the seeds of what you want to bring into your life!
